TRAITOR
Innovative System for TRAjectory trackIng in manufacTuring prOduction pRocesses.
Intuitive cobot programming for hazardous manufacturing environments
TRAITOR develops an integrated system to facilitate the programming of collaborative robots (cobots) in manufacturing contexts. The system enables replacement of human operators in processes involving moving parts or high-risk tools — cutting machines, milling machines, welders, paint sprayers — through a sub-centimetre resolution tracking pen, effective even in complex industrial environments.
The goal is to extend Industry 4.0 principles to small and medium-sized manufacturing companies, making cobot programming economical, intuitive and accessible even without specific pre-programming expertise.

Safety, efficiency and accessibility in the smart factory
Workplace safety
Enable operators to work in safer environments, reducing exposure to hazardous tools and moving parts.
Intuitive programming
Eliminate the need for pre-programming expertise: the tracking pen allows trajectory definition naturally.
Increased productivity
Reduced scrap, less material waste, optimised energy consumption and reduced waste disposal impact.
SME accessibility
Extend Industry 4.0 benefits to small and medium enterprises, lowering technological and economic automation barriers.
Sub-centimetre resolution
Development of a tracking pen with sub-centimetre resolution, effective even in industrial environments with interference.
Flexible manufacturing
Enable non-standard and non-repetitive production, where cobot flexibility surpasses the limits of traditional programming.
