ReDiT Project

Retail Digital Transformation

ReDiT logo

The omnichannel platform for retail

ReDiT is an integrated technology solution to support the digital transformation of the retail sector. The modular architecture allows adopting components based on specific business needs.

The goal of the integrated system is to increase efficiency in the logistics chain and provide real-time visibility on relevant data and events, leveraging extended collaboration among all parties involved and guaranteeing end users a seamless, uninterrupted experience across all channels.

KAD3 S.r.l. is responsible for defining, designing and developing the dark-store picking solution for e-commerce.

ReDiT Omnichannel Spider

The ReDiT Omnichannel Spider consists of several subsystems that orchestrate communications between platforms, product/order/warehouse management, customer relations and automated marketing.

ReDiT Middleware

Orchestrates communications between the various systems and platforms to deliver unified business services. It promotes interaction between the different application layers and between the company's various platforms (ERP, CRM, OMS, etc.).

ReDiT-POW · Product, Order & Warehouse

Enables automatic management of data relating to products, inventory, orders and available warehouses. It consists of three main modules:

  • PIM — Product Information Management: collects and organises all product information in a single record.
  • OMS — Order Management System: automates and centralises the order fulfilment process.
  • WMS — Warehouse Management System: supports the entire operational management of physical flows in the warehouse, from inbound goods control to shipment preparation.

ReDiT-CARM · Customer & Resource Management

Enables management of customer-related and company resources through three integrated modules:

  • CRM — Customer Relationship Management: manages different types of tickets from multiple channels (b2b, agent apps, e-commerce, marketplace, loyalty app, POS) with auto-assignment rules.
  • ERP — Enterprise Resource Planning: manages warehouse commitments, stock levels, availability and reorder points; handles invoicing and interacts with e-commerce via the Middleware.
  • Retail Omnichannel (RO): POS management software with rapid customer recognition, digital card management, in-store pick-up with shared stock and simplified registration operations.

ReDiT-MM · Marketing Management

Supports automatic and efficient omnichannel marketing management through four integrated modules:

  • Loyalty App: enables omnichannel customer recognition.
  • Loyalty Engine: manages customer loyalty programmes.
  • Marketing Automation: automates sales campaigns to boost sales and customer retention.
  • Marketing Intelligence / BI: analyses customer base data and sales channel data (e-commerce, POS), producing reports for marketing and strategic business decisions, with simultaneous access to multiple sources (CRM, OMS, ERP, B2B, B2C, agent apps).

ReDiT System

ReDiT Automated Warehouse

The automated warehouse module coordinates robotic systems (cobots) to optimise stocking and picking, reducing order fulfilment times and operational errors.

ReDiT-APEPS — Automatic Pick&Place System

A key building block for creating an automated dark-store. It consists of a machine vision system that identifies the position of products in the handling area to pick them and assemble order trolleys, also managing automatic storage.

  • Vision system to identify and locate individual products in the working area.

  • Robotic arm that executes pick-and-place commands to assemble orders.

ReDiT-DSO — Dark Store Optimization

Essential for the long-term optimisation of order fulfilment times. Equipped with an AI system that identifies the best storage method based on customer preferences and their typical shopping basket.

Order picking has long been identified as the most labour-intensive and costly activity in warehouses: the cost of picking is estimated at 55% of total warehouse management spend. Any underperformance can lead to poor service and high operating costs across the entire supply chain.

ReDiT-WO — Warehouse Orchestrator

The core of the entire ReDiT Automatic Warehouse: coordinates the actions of ReDiT-DSO and ReDiT-APEPS based on requests received from the ReDiT Middleware.

  • Receives orders from the Middleware and coordinates pick-and-prepare operations via ReDiT-APEPS.

  • Defines picking and storage times by coordinating ReDiT-APEPS and ReDiT-DSO.
