Advanced optics for remote sensing
DORA focuses on the study of advanced optomechanical technologies, specifically deployable optics for remote sensing instrumentation covering the spectral range from visible to infrared. The project addresses imaging applications with cameras and spectrometers, with strong potential for microwave applications — SAR, radiometers — opening new frontiers in environmental monitoring and Earth observation.
The technologies developed find application in satellite instrumentation, drones and remote observation platforms for civil, industrial and scientific applications.
